(new) master list of coding resources

Hey there!
As you teach yourself to code, one of the hardest things is knowing *where* to learn.
There are SO many options. Books, courses, one-on-one tutoring, boot camps, a mixture of methods...
It's actually one of the things I get asked most: "Where should I learn?" Or, "Should I sign up for [fill-in-the-blank]?"
Of course, my answer depends on who's asking the question. Self-teaching is a very individualized process, and there are numerous factors to consider. Your budget. Your goals. How much time you can commit.
So, I added a section of the site just to address this:
There's a main page which includes links to all the articles and resources I've compiled on the topic.
However, I also have in-depth platform overviews. At the moment, I have seven:
  1. Code College
  2. Code School
  3. Coursera
  4. Lynda
  5. One Month
  6. Team Treehouse
  7. Udemy
Each in-depth overview covers topics taught, course pricing, and pros and cons of each platform. I even include insights from previous students—meaning I talked to real people who took courses on the platform and found out what they liked, what they didn't, and who they would recommend it to.
:)
Hope you enjoy it,
Laurence
P.S. - Another place where you can check out my favorite learn to code resources is on my tools page. Beyond places where you can learn to code, I also include productivity tools I use to manage the Learn to Code With Me blog and even electronics. Check it out!
